Reality Check

I appreciated the Editor's opinion expressed in the Oct 19 Daily Union. It is time for a reality check and yet despite the government shutdown and the re-opening, it did not allow for any stopgaps on the money being borrowed. In fact it promoted more spending by the federal government.

It is past time for the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of our federal government to take serious action regarding the profligate spending of our future generations into further debt. Thank you for excellent comments on this issue.
