Run for the Wall thank you

Hundreds of motorcyclists from across the U.S, Canada, England and Australia made their way through Northeast Kansas, en route to our nation's capital for the Memorial Day "Rolling Thunder" event.

The journey is called "Run for the Wall." The riders' mission is: "To promote healing among all veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of all Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action (POW/MIA), to honor the memory of those Killed in Action (KIA) from all wars, and to support our military personnel all over the world."

The ride's goals are: "To guide the participants across America and to educate future generations as to the importance of accountability in wartime actions emphasizing that no one should be left behind."

The stop in Junction City could not be possible without the following organizations or individuals:

Geary County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Fraternal Order of Eagles #830 Junction City, ABATE District 13, Josh Wolnik; Junction City Nazarene Church, Junction City First Southern Baptist Church, Junction City Harley Owners Group; American Legion and Legion Riders Post 45; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8773; Dewey Terrill; Bonnie Templeton, Ray Calore, VFW State Commander; Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 21-1, I-70 Warriors For Christ, Christian Motorcyclist Association, Gospel Circuit Riders, Christian Motorcyclist Association; Bob Cervera; Barbara Smith and L'Tanya Pugh. Thank you for all you do.
